What is the “direktbezahlen” payment option?
direktbezahlen is offered as a payment method in bezahl.de together with the bafin-licensed open banking expert Tink (part of VISA). This is a transfer ordered by the customer from their own bank. Following the transfer order, the Tink interface receives information as to whether the account is covered at that time and whether the transfer order has been successfully received by the bank. This enables payment confirmations to be issued 24/7 and in a matter of seconds. This means that, for the first time, even cars can be paid for via smartphone in real time upon delivery.
This is how direct payment works:

Enter the BIC and IBAN of your bank.

Log in with your online banking.

Finally, check your data and authorize the payment using the usual TAN procedure.
